Brit Manor is an actor, singer, songwriter, creative entrepreneur and energy healer from Los Angeles.
Forged by a musical family, Manor grew up wailing in churches and show choirs, acting in plays and dancing in competitions. The triple-threat graduated from LA County High School for the Arts and NYU TISCH School of the Arts in Drama as a University Scholar. After college, Manor toured West Africa and U.S. with a hip-hop theater company, out of which sprung her first band Profit$ a hip-hop jazz sextet. An avid culture enthusiast and organizer, she produced underground parties and secret concerts in both New York and LA for 10 years under the moniker B/HIVE Propaganda. She also founded the late and great Los Angeles art & literary magazine Amor Fati. Manor caused sonic waves with her sophomore alternative R&B EP Only Child (2016) on Bastard Jazz Recordings, hit singles like "In The Gray" (2014) and "Get You Some" (featured on Orange Is The New Black) produced by Captain Planet, self-released EP series Autoportraits (2011), as well as extensive touring and recording collaborations with Nick Waterhouse (Innovative Leisure), disco-pop band Yellow Alex & the Feelings, psych-garage artist Ty Segall (Drag City), Kilo Kish, Medium Punch, The Bamboos, and more. She is a Red Bull Music Academy alum and Associate Member of the Ammunition Theatre Company. Commercial campaigns include Apple, Facebook, Lexus, Uber, Intel, Home Goods, Disney, Famous Footwear, Home Away, Nordstrom, Variety and more. She is co-founder of recording studios @tropicounion in Los Angeles and @loveandlaughtermusic in Orange County with her family. Brit moonlights as an astrologer, holistic counselor and community organizer. |
