Brit Laurén Manor is an Actress & Recording Artist from Los Angeles.
Forged by a musical family, Manor grew up wailing in churches and show choirs, acting in plays and dancing in competitions. The triple-threat graduated from LA County High School for the Arts and NYU TISCH School of the Arts in Drama as a University Scholar.
After college, Manor toured West Africa and U.S. with a hip-hop theater company, out of which sprung her first band, Profit$, a hip-hop jazz sextet. An avid culture enthusiast and organizer, she produced underground parties and secret concerts in both New York and LA for 7 years under the moniker B/HIVE Propaganda. She also founded the late and great Los Angeles art & literary magazine Amor Fati.
Manor caused previous sonic waves with her self-released EP series Autoportraits (2011), vocal features on frequent collaborator and label partner Captain Planet's hit singles like "In The Gray" (2014) and "Get You Some" (featured prominently on Orange Is The New Black), as well as extensive touring and recording collaborations for Nick Waterhouse (Innovative Leisure), disco-pop band Yellow Alex & the Feelings, psych-garage artist Ty Segall (Drag City), Kilo Kish, Medium Punch, The Bamboos, and more. She is a Red Bull Music Academy alum, and Associate Member of the Ammunition Theatre Company.
Manor's sophomore future soul mini-album Only Child (2016) is out on Bastard Jazz Recordings. She moonlights as a model and film/tv actress; some credits include Better Things, Ray Donovan, Greys Anatomy, The Fosters, Leimert Park, and Actors Anonymous. Commercial campaigns include Apple, Uber, Intel, Home Goods, Disney, Famous Footwear, Home Away, Nordstrom, and Variety.
